We are honored to partner with Aequitas Coffee on their first specialty coffee import to the United States!
Aequitas Coffee was formed in 2017 by a team of Brazilian coffee farmers of Japanese descent. This new generation of specialty coffee farmers is led by 36-year-old Yuki Minami. Yuki’s father, who has grown coffee for 60 years, also aids the team. The word “aequitas” is Latin for equity and represents Yuki’s mission to promote justice, transparency, and fairness for women in the coffee trade.
This coffee was grown and processed in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Minas Gerais. Minas is Brazil’s largest coffee growing state and is recognized world wide for producing high quality coffees with complex, unique profiles.
